All the details for the Sunday March 04th 2012 UBC Ancient Forest Committee hike to explore the magnificent old growth trees of UBC. This hike is FREE and no RSVP is required. Ralf Kelman, big tree searcher, at The Wreck Beach Fir. CLICK HERE FOR TRANSIT ROUTE PLANNING. CLICK HERE FOR UBC MAP. The hike will be a total of about 3 hour.
This segment of the route takes you from Lake Cowichan to the Sooke Potholes Campground. The route is 120kms long and is 30kms of dirt rail grade trail on the Trans Canada Trail, less than 1km of paved roads and the remainder are logging roads in various states of disrepair.
